The <br /> Audit includes items that will be addressed in the Update. It was based upon review of changes to the GMA <br /> and other state regulations since our last comprehensive update in 2005;the Puget Sound Regional Council's <br /> VISION 2040;recent planning efforts completed by Snohomish County Tomorrow and Snohomish County, <br /> including the Buildable Lands analysis and a comprehensive update of the Countywide Planning Policies; <br /> and recommendations of Planning Commission and the public. <br /> Broad areas to be addressed include new population and employment growth targets,new themes of healthy <br /> communities/quality of life, climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, air quality, concentrating growth <br /> in centers and other activity nodes, and sustainable funding.
