• <br /> 8 <br /> Err <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 13-09 <br /> • <br /> A Resolution Recommending the Adoption of the Comprehensive Plan Audit and <br /> Public Participation Plan•for the Ten Year Update of the Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett Planning Commission has reviewed the Comprehensive Plan <br /> Audit and Citizen Participation Plan for the 10 year update of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,The Planning Commission held a workshop and public hearing on the Audit, and a <br /> public hearing on the Public Participation Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission is committed to active and meaningful citizen <br /> participation in the update of the Comprehensive Plan;and <br /> WHEREAS,the 10 year Comprehensive Plan update schedule has been established recognizing <br /> that citizen participation is an important and key component of the development of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. The goal is to have the updated plan adopted in mid-2015. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT RECOMMENDS: <br /> 1. The Comprehensive Plan Audit comprises the section and elements of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and development regulations which need updating. <br /> 2. Additional docket requests may be submitted by July 1,2014 and will be reviewed by <br /> Planning Commission at that time for addition to the Audit. <br /> 3. The Public Participation Plan is the minimum effort for citizen participation in the <br /> Comprehensive Plan development and its implementation. If through the Comprehensive <br /> Plan update there are additional efforts which are desirable,the Planning Commission <br /> recommends that additional efforts be made by the city and this recommendation is not <br /> intended to limit additional participation efforts. <br /> PC Resolution 13-09 3 2 <br />
