EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK 12 <br /> Work to be Performed: <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT <br /> Everett Main Library,located at 2702 Hoyt Ave in Everett currently has a dry fire sprinkler installed in <br /> the garage separate from the main library sprinkler system.The current installation is approximately 23 <br /> years old and is in poor condition due to corrosion,slopes and low mounting heights.A new system is to be revised <br /> to install galvanized piping,higher or`better run'mains and head and appropriate slopes. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> RICE Group,Inc.shall provide Mechanical Design Services for the building as follows: <br /> Fire Sprinkler Schematic Design <br /> •Schematic layout of new dry system • <br /> o Review zoning options <br /> o Review head room coordination <br /> o Review sloping <br /> •Review options for core drilling structural beams <br /> o Perform structural feasibility study <br /> o If necessary,provide structural drawings and calculation for bidding purposes(optional) <br /> •Performance specifications <br /> •Coordinate with City of Everett and Everett Fire Marshall <br /> o Drive aisle clearance <br /> o Fire watch requirements <br /> o Fire alarm coordination <br /> •Cost estimates <br /> o Provide budget cost estimate <br /> •Construction Administration <br /> o Review contractor bids <br /> o Coordinate clienticontractor meetings <br /> o Review shop drawings and submittals <br /> o Perform 3 site visits with reports for construction observations <br /> o Review contractor pay applications <br /> o Close out project <br /> Additional Services: <br /> Additional Services that may be needed based upon any issues that surface during the engineering and design <br /> services as approved only in writing and signed bt an authorized City representative.
