Several months back your company applied for a sign permit for <br /> the placement of two new wall signs un the building located at 2202 Everett Avenue. <br /> This permit was conditionally approved by City of Everett Planning staff on April 10, <br /> 2002. The condition which was required to be met, and which is documented on the <br /> aoproved sign permit, is the removal of the existing roof sign. <br /> A site inspection was made on August 30, 2002. It appears both proposed wall signs <br /> have been installed, however the roof sign remains on site. Section 36.030 of the <br /> Zoning Code lists "roof signs"as a prohibited sign rype within the Everett City Limits. <br /> Section 36.200 of the Zoning Code states the requirement for the removal of a <br /> noncenforming sign, when a new sign is proposed on a site, which contains an existing <br /> nonconforming sign. <br /> In order to correct this violation it would be necessary to remove the roof sign, generally <br /> located in the northwest comer of the building. In addition, it does not appear that any <br /> inspections have been made to the site for the new signs. Please contact the City <br /> Buildin5 �epartment to schedule any and all necessary inspections; they can be <br /> reached at (425) 257-8810.
