Please review and
respond to the comments below. These comments address building issues only. Additional
revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Public Works, Planning, or
Fire). All required submittals must be of sufficient detail and information to ensure that the
proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to
provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents
reflecting the corrections requested. All revisions require the person delivering the
drawings to replace the revisions into the two sets here at our offices. For significant
revisions, or if the revisions are coming directly from a document printing facility,
please make arrangements with them to print and deliver two replacement sets.
Structural
1. On Sheet S-010, the Kzt factor of 1.24 is indicated on the Design Criteria, however a Kzt
was determined on the permit calculations. Please clarify which condition is correct.
2. Please provide a diaphragm design for all floors. Please indicate and provide details and/or
additional calculations indicating the locations and designs of drag struts and transfer
conditions through diaphragms where required by computations.
3. Please provide drift calculations for the structure.
4. For the holddown permit calculations pages HD 1 to HD 4, it appears that these
computations are covering a PT slab, but a PT slab does not occur on the drawings. It
appears that these are"stock"calculations please clarify. Also, please indicate how the
holddown forces are meeting the requirements of ACI 318-14 Section 17.3.2.1.
a e1of2
CITY OF EVERE1T • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8810 • Fax(425) 257-8857
