, <br /> Staff Report <br /> Madison Park Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezone <br /> A. Introduction: <br /> This is an action affecting the recently acquired, 1.8 acre Madison Park property, located at Madison <br /> Avenue and Morgan Road(see attached map). <br /> The proposed action is to amend the Comprehensive Plan map designation from 1.2 (Single Family) <br /> to 2.0 (Parks/Public Open Space) and to rezone the property from R-2 (Single Family)to P (Public <br /> Park Zone). <br /> B. Background: <br /> 1. The City purchased the property for use as a park in February,2011. <br /> 2. Park staff has worked with the adjacent neighborhoods, View Ridge Madison to the north and <br /> Evergreen to the south,in planning for the new park. <br /> 3. Planning and Park staff met with both neighborhoods early this year to discuss land use policy, <br /> zoning and ideas for the new park. <br /> 4.
