The acquisition of the park land and planned improvements <br /> are seen as positive moves supported by the public in the area. There have been volunteer work <br /> parties cleaning and improving the park. <br /> 7. Would the change of the land use designation pressure other properties in the vicinity to do <br /> the same? <br /> Staff response: Yes,but in a positive way. The neighborhood and citizens in the area have expressed <br /> the desire for the property to the west to be made part of the park at some point,though there are no <br /> plans for that at this time. <br /> D.
