Changes in river dredging activities by the US Army Corps of Engineers have resulted in Outfall 025 being inundated with river sediment thus rendering it inoperable.In addition,the current location of the outfall is within the center of the river channel and leaves it vulnerable to occasional damage from local boat traffic. This Professional Services Agreement with URS Corporation will facilitate the pre-design study to evaluate the river hydraulics and the transportation of sediment to recommend alternative locations for Outfall 025. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with URS Corporation of Seattle, WA for the Pre-Design Evaluation of the Water Pollution Control Facility Outfall 025 in the amount of$144,995. 5
