The existing Memorandum of Understanding with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission sets forth the requirements of the Everett Police Department to participate in the project and receive the allotted funding. This Amendment provides an additional $2,500.00 in overtime funding for the purpose of conducting distracted driving HVE patrols during the period of April 10 through April 15, 2014. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment#1 to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission regarding participation in distracted driving high visibility enforcement traffic safety emphasis patrols in the amount of$2,500.00. 77
