2014 • Budget Adjustments Tally Sheet ti Department Code Rev Exp FB GGR-3 Police Re-approp-2012 DOJ Bulletproof Vest 031R 6,422 GGR-3 General Fund Re-approp-2012 DOJ Bulletproof Vest 002R 6,422 The Bulletproof Vest Partnership,created by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act of 1998, is a U.S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to state and local law enforcement. On June 7,2012,the Everett Police Department applied for funding to cover the maximum of fifty percent of the cost of 50 vests. The total cost of 50 vests is$40,950;therefore,the EPD applied for $20,475. The application was approved in full. Council authorized the Mayor to accept this award at the November 7,2012,Council meeting. This re-appropriation carries forward the remaining grant funds of$6,422 to 2014. FY 2013 BVP funds became available in 2013 for purchase of compliant armored vests ordered on or afferApril 1,2013. The Police Department applied for funding to cover the maximum of fifty percent of the cost of 50 vests. The total cost of 50 vests is$37,569;therefore,the EPD applied for $18,784.50. The application was approved in full. Council authorized the Mayor to accept this award at the October 16,2013,Council meeting. No expenses were incurred in 2013.
