2014 4 <br /> Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> • <br /> GGR-5 Police Re-approp-Traffic Safety Grant 031R 3512 <br /> GGR-5 General Fund Re-approp-Traffic Safety Grant 002R 3,512 <br /> The Washington Traffic Safety Commission(WTSC)provides funding for Snohomish County law <br /> enforcement agencies to conduct high visibility enforcement traffic safety emphasis patrols in support of <br /> Target Zero Teams priorities. The goal is to reduce traffic related deaths and serious injuries by engaging <br /> in multijurisdictional,high-visibility patrols in the areas of impaired driving and occupant protection(seat <br /> belts). The Everett Police Department was awarded a$3,500 allocation for impaired driving enforcement <br /> and$1,600 for seat belt enforcement for the period of October 1,2013 to September 30,2014. Council <br /> authorized the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the WTSC at the October 9,2013, <br /> Council meeting for this allocation. <br /> This re-appropriation carries forward the remaining balance of$3,512 to 2014. <br /> Increase grant revenue 002 3332060131 r 3,512 <br /> • <br /> Increase Police overtime budget 031 5220000120 ' 3,512 <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGR-6 Police Re-approp-Traffic Safety Grant 031R 12,894 <br /> GGR-6 General Fund Re-approp-Traffic Safety Grant 002R 12,894 <br /> • <br /> The Washington State Traffic Safety Commission(WTSC)is providing funding for Snohomish County law <br /> enforcement agencies to participate in the Target Zero Teams project. The goal is to reduce the number <br /> of people killed or seriously injured by impaired drivers in Snohomish County by deploying DUI patrols at <br /> times and locations where data indicates that the most safety benefit can be realized. The Everett Police <br /> Department was allocated$15,000 to participate in this project between October 1,2013 and September <br /> 30,2014.
