2 RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION concerning 2014 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of HOME and Housing Trust Funds—2060 and modification to the 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs, and Everett is estimated to receive $837,407 for 2014; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and. WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, 2060 Housing Trust funds, and a modification of the 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan and for the 2014 Annual Action Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above committee; and WHEREAS, the 2014 Annual Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority, Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2014 Public Service Projects Recommended Community Health Center (CDBG) Primary Health Care $20,687.00 Everett Family YMCA (CDBG) $8,275.00 Day Care Camp Fire (CDBG) Camp Scholarship Assistance $3,509.00 Assistance League (CDBG) Operation School Bell $12,929.00 Schack Arts Center(CDBG) $1,862.00 Art Glass Training Advocates for the Rights of Citizens (CDBG) Community Housing $11,699.00 Senior Services of Snohomish County (CDBG) Meals on Wheels $12,412.00 I
