Permit Counter
293Q Wetrnore Avenue, Suite 100 .
Everett, WA 98201 :
RE; Request for Modificaaon to SEPA MDNS Issued for Claremont Village
to Include Additiocal Grading Activity/Our Job No. 4902
Dear pon:
The City of Everett previously issued a Ivlitigalad Determination of Non-Sibmificance (MDNS) to
complete site work and landscaping improvements to the exisGng Claremont Village Shopping Center.
Included within this work was the placement of approaimately 10,000 cubic yards of imported fill material
to regrade and repave the exis6ng parlang lot to reduce pavement slopes. The MDNS also included
requirements for completing landscape improvements on the project in accordance with a previously-
approved Master T..andscape Plan.
Terranomics has recendy made an agreement with the owner of a poruon of the Claremont Village
Shopping Center located north of Wilmington Avenuz to utilize the excess fill material on that property for
a por6on of the imported fill needed for theroposed parking lot regrade. Since the original environmental
determinadon for the project included both the norrh and south portions of the Claremont Village Shopping
C<:nter, the norih end should already be covered under the original MDNS except, at that time, dere was
no proposal to utilize ihe excess fill material on the norlh side of Wilmington Avenue as fill material for
the proposed parking lot regrade.
I am cnclosing Cr your review a copy of the Norih End Site and Landscape Plan previously approved
for rhe project indicating ehe area of proposed work and the approximate extent of excavation which will
resu.lt after removal of ihe excess fill material. At ihis time, we are esdmaGng apptoximately S,ObO to
7,OO,D cubic yards to be removed from ihe norih side of Wilmington Avenue and used as fill material for
the Eroposed parking regrade. Maximum slopes for the area of excavation will be three horizontal lo
one verpcal. After the excess material has been removed, alL exposed surfaes will be hydroseeded to
provide sGbiliza6on and prevent erosion. Once you have had a chance to review ihe enc.osed information,
please contact me, if you have any questions or need addilionai informauon. VJe would lhen request ihat
you verify whether this work can be completed under the original MDNS in lieu of processing a
modification.
Respectfull'vCtl%vL

Daniel K. 6aimelli, P.E.
Principal Er;gineer
DKB/sdc [4902C.005]
enc: As Noted
cc: Steve Palevich, Terranomics (w/enc) -
Bruce McCrory, Barghausen Consulting Gngineers, Inc.
18215 72ND AVENUE SOUTH KENT,WA 96032 (20G)257-6222 (206)251-8782 FlX
