This alley presently connecis to 50th on the south and Claremont Way on <br /> the north. <br /> A copy of the plan ot the alley, a sectlQn through ihe alley, and the soils engfneers analysis <br /> accompany this request. <br /> The reason for closing the alley is to construct a retaining wall for the New Olson's Food Store <br /> at Claremont Village. In order to construct the new wall, part of an existing retaining wall must <br /> be removed, the existing retalned eaRh excavated to a 1:1 slope, the new wall installed, and �� <br /> the roof structure atteched to ihe new wall, and then back811 the new wall. It fs anticfpated lhe <br /> closure will be between 30 and 45 days. 8eginning roughly August 17. ,,,.��,� <br /> In oMer to install the new wall the existing grade will be excavated back appro.;mately 12' to � <br /> 15' easf of the existing retaining wall in the location of the new wali (northem portion of the ';� <br /> alley). This excavated slope will be at a 1:1 slope and the top of the slope wili extend over to <br /> ,� <br /> lhe east boundry oi the Alley. < <br /> r_ <br /> Qur superintendent, Tom Radke has talkad with the neighbor in house #1, and he has given �" <br /> us his pennfssion to Gose off his driveway for that time. I have cufrently asked Tom if we Can <br /> get lhat permisslon in writing. <br /> We would provide all necessary barricades and detour signage.
