• <br /> January 22, 2020 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., <br /> January 22, 2020, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic <br /> City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that <br /> Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Vogeli, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were <br /> present. Mayor Franklin and Council Member Bader were excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 8, 2020, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> COUNCIL • <br /> Council Member Moore thanked public works crews and first responders for their <br /> work last week during the snow. <br /> Council Member Roberts provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Snohomish County Cities meeting. He also provided an update from the Delta <br /> Neighborhood meeting. Council Member Roberts spoke about a draft resolution <br /> that declares a climate emergency. <br /> Council Member Vogeli commented on the Planning Commission meeting. She <br /> also spoke about two new businesses in Everett: Everett Pet Nutrition and Jag <br /> ArtWorks. <br /> Council Member Murphy announced that the next Lodging Tax Advisory <br /> Committee meeting is scheduled forJanuary 27, at 3 p.m. in the council chambers. <br /> He also announced that Serena Williams is scheduled to join the Fed Cup team on <br /> February 7 and 8 at the Angels of the Winds Arena. <br /> • <br /> 8 <br />
