15 <br /> ARTICLE 32 - INSTRUCTOR PAY AND PROJECT PAY <br /> A. Instructor Pay. <br /> Recognizing that an on-going educational system within the EFD would be beneficial to <br /> both the Fire Department and Local #46, an instructor rate of pay will be initiated with the <br /> following guidelines: <br /> 1. The level at which the instructor will teach will be established by the Everett Fire <br /> Department Training Division. <br /> 2. The pay level for EFD instructors will be the hourly rate of the base pay of a <br /> Captain. <br /> 3. Instructors would be requested to teach his own platoon on duty without <br /> additional pay when assigned a block of teaching time, to be established by the <br /> instructor and the Training Division. <br /> 4. All qualified personnel, as established by the Fire Department Training Division, <br /> will have the opportunity to participate in this program. <br /> 5. No member shall be required to be an instructor under the terms of this contract. <br /> B. Project Pay <br /> 1. The following special projects have been mutually agreed upon by <br /> Labor/Management. <br /> a. Fit testing <br /> b. Site planning <br /> c. Labor/Management committees (i.e. rig committee, turnout gear <br /> committee) <br /> d. FDM or RMS auditing <br /> e. PCR review, paper or electronic <br /> f. Recruiting <br /> g. Equipment, PPE testing <br /> h. Bike medic <br /> i. First aid station <br /> j. Technology implementation projects <br /> 2. Pay for projects will not be used for normal duties or activities performed by the <br /> employee in their position. The City is not prohibited from assigning work on <br /> projects to employees as other, regular assigned duties or to light duty <br /> personnel. <br /> 3. The pay level will be the hourly rate of the base pay of a Captain. <br /> 4. Qualifications to be eligible for projects will be established by <br /> Labor/Management. <br /> 44 <br />
