In <br /> order to grant the licenses, Burlington Northern is requesting that <br /> the City provide them with engineering drawings that indicate the <br /> nature and scope of the improvements. The City is not able to <br /> provide this to them at this time, and instead is requesting that <br /> Burlington Northern provide "access rights only" subject to final <br /> design and installation approval by Burlington Northern. The City is <br /> still negotiating with Burlington Northern on this issue. <br /> The Parks Department has indicated that improvement of the riverfront <br /> property has not been a high priority with their Department. Funding <br /> is not available for improvements to that property within the next <br /> ten years. <br /> In December 1988, Meridian Aggregates representatives requested that <br /> the rezone be brought back to City Council for a decision. Meridian <br /> Aggregates/Burlington Northern will also be requesting approvals from <br /> City Council on several street and alley vacations in the vicinity of <br /> the Asphalt Batch Plant. <br /> Staff requests that City Council provide direction to the staff on <br /> this rezone request. <br /> fi0lt 1 <br />
