The need for this project is to improve currently inadequate fireflows as noted in the 2007 Water Comprehensive Plan. The water mains being replaced are along Seahurst Ave from 54th St SW to 49th P1 SW, 49th P1 SW to 9th Ave SW, 9th Ave SW to Glenhaven Dr and 51st St SW east of Seahurst Ave. The budget remaining amount is calculated by deducting the contracts for geotechnical ($13,565), surveying ($20,951C staff ($10,700) and this $2,000 request from the amount budgeted. • The project is ready to advertise for construction bids. There are no supplemental bidder requirements associated with this project. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Call for Bids for the construction of the Water Main Replacement "N" Project. 53
