(Terracon) has completed the geotechnical engineering services for the above referenced project.This study was performed in general accordance with our proposal number P81175122 dated December 13, 2017. This report presents the findings of the subsurface explorations and provides geotechnical recommendations concerning the rockery failure. Our report presents recommendations for a retaining wall that will replace the existing rockery for the northern portion of the building, which includes the failed section of rockery, and will protect the building wall from future rockery failures as well as the City of Everett public- right-of-way from further erosion. The recommendations provided herein are based on the outcome of our meeting with the City of Everett that took place on January 20, 2018. The City informed us that they would willing to grant a permanent easement for the retaining wall to encroach on the east boundary of the public right-of-way. Therefore, our design is based on a soldier pile and tieback system with the soldier piles and tieback anchors located in the right-of-way.
