Gary O'Leary <br />Subject: 7502 Evergreen Way <br />First Interstate Bank <br />The City has reviewed your letter of August 30, 1989 concerning the <br />applicability of Ordinance 05559 street improvements. It is important for <br />your client to understand that the City of Everett feels very strongly that <br />Evergreen Way is in need of improvement to adequately provide for vehicle and <br />pedestrian safety. First Interstate Bank's operation, located on one of the <br />more critical intersections on Evergreen Way, impacts vehicle and pedestrian <br />safety. <br />Your estimated totals for the value of existing facilities and estimated new <br />construction could be debated. However, if we accept that the value of the <br />existing building is approximately 1430,000, then any remodel expenditure <br />exceeding $2159000 would make Ordinance 0555 applicable. Please proceed with <br />civil plans detailing street improvements for Evergreen hay and 75th Street <br />S.E. <br />It is not the City's intent to provide a read block to the remodel plans for <br />First Interstate Bank.
