WASHINGTON <br />99201 <br />are copies of correspondence dated December 4, 1979 and FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />1-3Enclosed <br />CA <br />H o rp <br />May 26, 1981 regarding deficiencies in the building --in this instance, <br />r <br />the basement. <br />Please note in our December 4, 1979 letter the statement 'If the plans to <br />remodel this building become a reality, then a second means of egress from the <br />basement area and from the main floor area will be required.' <br />Also, please note the letter from Robert Wilson, dated May 26, 1981, <br />indicating the bank's intent to rectify the problem at the time of remodeling <br />or rebuilding. <br />� N <br />Since the situation in the basement has been in non-compliance since the <br />original construction, and since the need to be brought into compliance has <br />been well known, you are hereby notified to provide a second exit from the <br />basement or to discontinue any use of the basement other than for service of <br />the building. Employee lounges and storage uses are not considered service <br />of the building. <br />Please give this matter your urgent attention.
