January 29, 2020 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br /> January 29, 2020, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic <br /> City Hall,Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor <br /> Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Vogeli, Bader, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Members Moore and Murphy were excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 22, 2019, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Bader abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin provided a report from her attendance at the United States <br /> Conference of Mayors held in Washington D.C. last week. <br /> Fire Chief Dave DeMarco introduced new firefighters Becca Benoit, Mike Dove, * <br /> Ilya Grishchenko,Thomas Holert, William Powers, and Jacob Jones. <br /> APPOINTMENTS/REAPPOINTMENTS <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader,seconded by Council Member Stonecipher,to <br /> concur with the following appointment: <br /> Animal Shelter Advisory Board <br /> Reappointment of Kara Langus to Position 1 for a six-year term ending December <br /> 31, 2025. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Members <br /> Moore and Murphy who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • <br /> 18 <br />
