Currently,these regulations are in need of an update including an <br /> increase in fees which are extraordinarily low when compared to benchmark municipalities. <br /> The significant increase in construction costs since the adoption of these regulations makes an increase in the <br /> impact fees necessary. By adjusting these fees,the City can ensure that a proportionate share of capital <br /> improvements will be paid for by the new development which is driving the need for said improvements. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt the proposed ordinance revising the Transportation Mitigation Fee Ordinance, Superseding Ordinance <br /> No. 2425-99 and 2496-00, as amended (Chapter 18.40 EMC). <br />
