On February 20,2014,the City's Hearing Examiner held that code violations existed at <br /> 1101 E.Marine View Drive.Violations included removal of discarded appliances,household equipment, <br /> boxes,crates,personal property,yard tools,bicycle parts,metal items and salvage materials in the yard, <br /> visible to the public or neighbors, on the property. The Examiner also imposed a penalty of$1,000. The <br /> violations were not abated in accordance with the Order and pursuant to the Order of the City of Everett <br /> Code Official,the City abated the violations. The Respondents failed to pay the abatement costs and penalty, <br /> which are now past due. This Resolution authorizes placement of an assessment lien on the property on or <br /> after July 30, 2014, in the amount of the outstanding costs of abatement and the penalty imposed by the <br /> Examiner,which total$5,651.44. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt a Resolution authorizing recovery of abatement costs pursuant to EMC 1.20.090 at 1101 E.Marine <br /> View Drive. <br /> 55 <br />
