The judicial need estimate for Everett has been over <br /> 2.0 full-time judicial officers since 2008. The present estimated need is for 2.59 full-time judicial officers. <br /> Presently the Court is operating with only 1.8 full-time judicial officers. This ordinance would increase the <br /> number of full-time judicial officers to 2.0, effective January 1,2015. In addition the ordinance clarifies how <br /> the presiding municipal court judge is appointed and clarifies some of the presiding judge's responsibilities. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt an Ordinance relating to Municipal Court Judge Positions (Ordinance 1259-86, as amended- Chapter <br /> 2.108 EMC). <br /> 1 <br />
