Tlte site is approximately 880 by 1,200 feet in plan
dimensions and is about a 13 acre parcel. A 250 by 630 foot area
(about 3.6 acres) in the western porfaon of the site has been set asidE
for future development. The general location and configuration
of the site is shown on the Site and Exploration Plan, Figure 1.
',The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the subsur-
. face conditions and provide recoumendations for the foundation
and soil engineering aspects of the project which includes
site grading and foundation support for the three retail .
structures shown on Figure 1. The design has not been fina-
lized at the writing of this report rowever we anticipated the
structure to be steel frame or concrete tilt up wall construction
with concrete slab on grade floors. Structural loads are typic-
ally 2,000 - 4,000 pounds per foot for exterior walls, and
100 - 300 psf (pounds per square foot) for floor loads. Park-
ing facilities to be providedwill be asphaltic pavement over
crushed rock base course. Because of the differences in ele-
vation across the project site we anticipate that cut and fill
operations are necessary to render the site suitable for dev-
elopment.
