ORDINgNCE NO. - <br />AN ORDINANCE amending Section 10. 2.230, Everett City <br />Code regulating hours for sale of meat and other similar products <br />and adding a new section dealing with storage and display of <br />meat, and declaring an emergency to exist and this ordinance shall take <br />effect upon its passage and publication. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1: That Section 10.32.230 Everett City Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />10.32.230 Hours of sale. It shall be unlawful to <br />offer for sale and or sell any meats except poultry, rabbit, <br />cured meats, frozen meats and fish at retail on the first day <br />of the week., commonly known as Sunday, and on legal holidays <br />or prior to 9:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. on any other day of <br />the week. The purpose of this regulation is to provide for <br />the proper and efficient enforcement of this ordinance and to <br />further provide for the elimination of fraud and negligence in <br />the handling of meats, and to protect the general public from <br />the acquisition of dangerous and loathsome diseases and act of <br />dishonesty. <br />• <br />Section 2: No meats except poultry, rabbit, cured <br />meats, frozen meats and fish shall remain in or be left in <br />any public display case From 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and from <br />9:00 p.m. prior to a legal holiday until Monday morning at 9:00 <br />a.m. following said Sunday or until 9:00 a.m. the next week day <br />following such holiday. <br />Attest: <br />C IT <br />Passed: <br />Published: <br />• <br />7 <br />a x„, <br />msfn <br />
