The following is a corresponding itemized <br /> response and clarification to the building/structural review comments. Please reference the attached <br /> revised construction drawings with bubbled revisions(#1). <br /> Building/Structural: <br /> 1. The plans have been modified to incorporate the appropriate energy code/separation <br /> requirements for the new rec room relative to the exterior and the remaining garage space as <br /> follows: <br /> a. The plans have been modified to show the existing slab on grade at the rec room to <br /> be removed&replaced with a new slab after installing the required R-10 x 2' <br /> perimeter rigid insulation break with the remaining garage as well as the north and <br /> south exterior walls. Reference revised basement floor plan,revised detail 6/Sht 5 <br /> and new detail 6/Sht 6. <br /> b. Reference response to item la above. See new detail 6/Sht 6. <br /> c. The existing 2x4 north and south exterior walls of the rec room have been specified <br /> to be furred out to the interior face of existing concrete stem wall and insulated with <br /> new R-21 kraft-faced batt insulation. The new partition between the garage and new <br /> rec room has already been specified as 2x6 with R-21 insulation. <br /> d.
