His name is Steve according to our electrician. He is relatively new to the city apparently, came from L&I. Thanks for
the assistance with this
Sent from Outlook
From: Engineering/Public Services<everetteps@everettwa.gov>
Sent:Wednesday,September 27, 2017 2:40:53 PM
To:Viggo Forde; Engineering/Public Services
Cc: Kirk Borseth
Subject: RE: 1802 Rucker Ave/Permit#C1701-006
Did you get a name of the inspector?
From: Viggo Forde [mailto:viggoforde@outlook.com]
Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2017 11:48 AM
To: Engineering / Public Services
Cc: Kirk Borseth; Viggo Forde
Subject: 1802 Rucker Ave/Permit #C1701-006
Hi. We are in the process of finalizing electrical work for the garage associated with the permit#in the title of this email. During
yesterday's"OK to close" inspection for electrical, the inspector started inquiring about the existing conduit that goes from the
garage to the house. This work was done as a part of the OLD permit to the earlier remodel of the main house—before we
bought it. The permit numbers for that are Parent Permit C1001-006 and the electrical permit of E0912-043. The electrical
permit was finaled on 8/1/2013 according to your permit database. The inspector believes that the conduit from the garage to
the house is new work. I had the electrician doing the work on the garage show him the picture of the old garage that shows
the conduit going into the ground at the corner of the old garage. Our General Contractor also talked to the electrical inspector
today and he wants us to now dig a hole to show that the conduit is deep enough. This seems completely unreasonable. This
work was old work, approved by you on the permits referenced earlier, and final-inspected per your records.. I have enclosed
the picture of the old garage showing the conduit going into the ground at the NW corner of the structure.
Can you somehow engage w/the inspector and call out the earlier permit records? He states there are no records of this work
being done, and that is clearly not accurate.
Thank you.
Kirk, FYI.
