t�+1• <br /> Snohomish County Public Utility District No,1 March 31,2015 Page 4 <br /> The grids shall be placed with the highest strength axis perpendicular to the wall face.The geogrid shall be <br /> laid horizontally on compacted backfill and attached to the Sierrascape facing unit per the details in the <br /> project plans.The geogrid shall be pulled taut and anchored prior to backfill placement on the geogrid. <br /> Wall Embedment <br /> The base of the wall and finished grade in front of the wall should be in accordance with the elevation in <br /> the project plans.A minimum embedment of 1.5 feet is required as part of the MSE wall design. <br /> • Fencing <br /> An impasse fence will be placed along the top of the new retaining wall at an offset of about 5.5 feet.The <br /> foundation elements or sleeves for future installation of the fence should be installed during wall <br /> construction per notes on typical section and manufacturers recommendations. <br /> LIMITATIONS <br /> We have prepared this letter as an addendum to our October 24,2014 report and for the exclusive use by <br /> Snohomish County PUD No.1 and their authorized agents for the design of the MSE wall at the northwest <br /> corner of the site (Retaining Wall 2)for the proposed Beverly Park Substation Expansion project site in <br /> Everett, Washington.
