February 5, 2020 <br /> AYES: Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, Tuohy <br /> NAYS: None <br /> EXCUSED: Stonecipher <br /> Ordinance No. 3726-20 adopted. <br /> ACTION ITEMS: <br /> President Tuohy recused herself from the vote on this item because she is <br /> employed by the Schack Art Center, which is one of the grant applicants being <br /> considered for funding. President Tuohy turned the meeting over to Council <br /> Member Murphy and exited the council chambers at 6:53 p.m. <br /> GRANT FUNDING —HOTEL MOTEL TAX <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member Bader, to <br /> concur with the recommendation of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and <br /> the Budget Finance Committee to accept the Long-term obligations of the Hotel <br /> Motel Tax listed above and to allocate grant funding as designated in an amount <br /> not to exceed $621,033 and authorize the Mayor to sign the contracts. <br /> As chair of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee,Council Member Murphy thanked <br /> the members and volunteers of the Committee; Council Member Stonecipher, <br /> who participated as a representative of the Budget Subcommittee; and <br /> Deb Williams, council administrator, for her work in compiling materials for the <br /> meetings. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except President Tuohy who <br /> was recused and Council Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> President Tuohy re-entered the council chambers at 6:55 p.m. <br /> 36 <br />
