Asbestos—Good Faith lI iitaction AET 3043
3703 Railway Avenue, Everett, WA 98201
05/29/14 4 of 7
Limitations: Sampling at the subject site was limited to the building materials that were
accessible. During demolition any suspect materials that were hidden and not included in the
report should be assumed to contain asbestos, or sampled by an accredited AHERA Building
Inspector and analyzed by a NVLAP accredited laboratory prior to disturbance. Contractors will
need to do their own take offs for bid purposes.
Summary: Alternative Environmental Technologies, AET, conducted an asbestos good faith
inspection at the subject site on 05/23/14. The laboratory, upon analysis, reported that two of
twelve samples contained asbestos. The black roofing vent mastic and a full depth gypsum
wallboard sample contained asbestos. The full depth wallboard sample was reported to contain
< 1% asbestos and therefore removal is not considered an asbestos project. However, LNI still
requires dust suppression, as well as wet and intact removal methods by trained personnel as
described in Discussion Item 5 — Wallboard Systems. The material must be promptly removed
from the site and removal must be observed byCompetent a Person.
A copy of this report or a summary of the materials containing asbestos should be kept at the site
and available upon request. It was recommended that the fluorescent light tubes and ballasts be
properly removed, transported, recycled or disposed of properly by a company such as Total
Reclaim, or the equivalent.
