Fire apparatus roads shall have a minimum unobstructed width of 26 feet in the inunediate vicinity of <br />any building or portion of building more than 30 feet in height. At least one of the required access <br />routes shall be located within a minimum of 15 feet and a maximum of 30 feet from the building and <br />shall be positioned parallel to one entire side of the buiiding. <br />23. Where elevators are provided in buildings, at least one elevator shall be provided for fire department <br />emergency access to all floors. The elevator car shall be of such a size and arrangement to <br />accommodate a 24-inch by 84-inch ambulance stretcher in the horizontal, open position and shall be <br />identified by the international symbol for emergency medical services (star of life). "rhe symbol shall <br />not be less than 3 inches high and shall be placed inside on both sides of the hoistway door frame. <br />Exception: If all stories within the building have direct, accessible egress to grade (EMC 16.01, <br />Section V). <br />24. A building footprint and lot layout for this project shall be provided to the Fire Marshal's Office on <br />CD/DV D. <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />1. The Snohomish County E UD currently has sufficient capacity to serve the proposed development. <br />I Iowever, the existing District facilities in the local area may require upgrading. Cost of any work, <br />new or upgrade, to existing facilities that is required to connect this proposed development to the <br />District electric system shall be in accordance with the applicable District policy. The development <br />will be required to supply the District with suitable locations/easements upon their property for any <br />underground electrical facilities that must be installed to serve the proposed development. Contact <br />with the District is recommended prior to design of the proposed project.
