8D7i 66, !dT80 3JIl X2J
GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERIN(3 REPORT
NEXTEL COMMUNICATIqNS, iNC.
EVERETT MALUCOMM SITE — Wq042'! •1
EVERETT, WASHINGTON
VT6E IZ8 90ZNOIltlO"I
9-91M-13127-0
1.0 SITE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proct sile is located at 9610-19"'Avenue S.E. in the City of Everett, Washington, as shown
on the enclosed LocaUon Map (Figure 1). The leased parcel is part of a larger, undeveloped site.
The leased parcel is bcated within e co-Iocate site and is bordered by other lease spaces and raw
iand. The endosed S/te & Exp/oraUon Plan (Figure 2) illustrates these site boundaries and
adjacent esting ealures. The site is accessible from tlte McDonald's parking bt off of 19°i
Avenue S.E.
Development plans call for co-locate on the existing towerard construcdon ofa new 70- by 2o-foot
equipment shelter. We anticipate that site gades will remain virtually unchanped after stripping
operat(ons have been completed.
The conqusions and recommendatlons contained in thls repot are based on our understanding
of the currently proposed project, as darived from information provided to us. If any changes are
made In the project, we shouid be allowed to review such changes ta detertnlne whether any
modHicatlons to our report recommentlatlons are needed.
2.0 EXPLORATORY METHODS
We expbred surface and subsurface conditions al lhe projec: site on August 10, 1999. Our
exploration and testing program compr(sed the followfng elements:
A visual surtace reconnaissance of ihe site;
One Soil boring (designated B-1), advanCed to a deplh of about 16 fee
A review of published geologidmaps and seismologic literature.
The location and depth of our exploration was selected (n relatlon to the proposed site features,
under the constraints of budget and site access. The bcaUon of ihe proposed equipment sheMsr
was not surveyed and staked priorto ourarcival but each individual communication fease boundary
was stakeci. Boring location was detertnined based upon the Site Candidate Infortnatlon Padcet
(SCIP) received from N(TEL Communicatbns, Inc., stake markings bcated within fhe leased
areas, and accessablllry. Our exploration elevallon was es' mated from topography inFormaibn
included within the SCIP. Consequendy, the loption and elevation date presented in Utis report
should be considered accurate only to the degree permitted by our data sources.
It should be realized that our ezploreUon revealad subsurtace conditioris only at a discrebe locatlon
nearthe projed site and that adual condifions at the specificequtpment shetter locatlon could vary.
s,w+uracw py,mw,u.uwronum Na.Nwwn..n hh..oa
sTis : 81MC1 IV 11LWd tIJtl: NdOS:Z : 66-9I-8 :A9 JACS
