BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND ORDER VARIANCE /5-92 <br />Based upon the written request for a variance from the City's Zoning <br />Code by: <br />Applicant: David Heck of S&S Sign Co./Texaco Refining <br />13190 Stone Avenue <br />Seattle, WA 98133 <br />Location: 9501 19th Avenue S.E. <br />zoning: R-S, Suburban Residential <br />Variance Requested: From the Use Standards Table for the R-S zone <br />which does not allow for service stations. There is an existing <br />non -conforming service station with an existing freestanding gasoline <br />price sign which is approximately 24 square feet in area and measures <br />10 feet high. The property was annexed to the City in January 1979. <br />The applicant is requesting a variance to allow for the replacement of <br />the existing price sign with a new freestanding sign which is <br />approximately 58 square feet in area and 10 feet, six inches high. A <br />default zoning designation of R-S, Suburban Residential was assigned <br />to the annexed area until a permanent zoning designation is <br />established.
