The VRF funds <br /> represent the required 25%match of the grant. There will need to be a budget <br /> Budget amendment: amendment. <br /> x Yes No Project summary statement: <br /> PowerPoint presentation: This grant will help fund a project to enhance EPDs Port Security abilities through the <br /> Yes x No purchase of 2 Unmanned Aerial Systems. These UASs would be used by the Marine Unit <br /> Attachments: for Port Security and disaster recovery. While the main focus of the UAS program will be <br /> for port security the UAS devices may also be used in other areas of the Police <br /> Department. Pending policy approval,other possible uses are:Crime Scene <br /> Department(s)involved: reconstruction by both Major Crimes and the Traffic Safety Unit,Search and Rescue <br /> Police&Legal <br /> efforts,emergency management and K-9 tracking.
