Large parking structures may use letters to designate columns for ease of locating <br /> automobiles. Example "Floor P3, Column E". <br /> 14.All fire alarm control panels (FACP) and sprinkler valves shall be in heated rooms or <br /> closets with standard man door access. Locations shall be approved by the Fire Code <br /> Official (NFPA 13, 2013 edition, section 8.16.4.1.3). <br /> 15.The location of Fire Department connections (FDC) and post indicator valves (PIV) shall be <br /> determined by the Fire Code Official. If immediate outside man door access is available to <br /> the sprinkler valves (risers), a PIV will not be required.
