Label the existing driveway width on the plan. The driveway width exceeds the maximum permitted by current
code; repaving within the front setback cannot exceed the existing width of the driveway.
2. Height calcs need to comply with the building height handout(linked below). The benchmark also needs to be
shown on the plan.Additionally, building height is measured from average base elevation to the peak of the
roof—the elevation drawings should also be revised to reflect this information. (You can submit revised sheets
for the building plan set or stop in when available to mark them up accordingly.)
3. The setback for the proposed ADU does not scale out to 5'. If the existing side setback is less than 5' it will need
to be certified as nonconforming prior to permit issuance.
4. Lot dimensions do not scale out to 150'or 75'.
You'll need to finish filling out the owner occupancy certificate and record the ADU covenant before I can sign off on
permit issuance for Planning. The permit techs are notaries so you can stop by when convenient and have them notarize
the documents for you. For reference on the forms, the project number is REVI18-025 and permit number is C1807-011.
The documents are linked again below if you need them.
Building Height Handout
Owner Certificate and ADU Covenant(starts on page 5)
Note: these requirements are only in relation to the zoning code and do not account for all possible requirements from
other departments. Please call the Permit Services line at 425.257.8810 if you have additional permitting questions.
CELEBRATING Kelsey Heyd
125 Assistant Planner 1 Community Planning and Economic Development
YEARS 425.257.7275 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett,WA 98201
A story worth telling everettwa.gov/planning 1 Facebook 1 Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
1
