The explorations were advanced to depths of between 8.5 and 9.0 feet below ground surface (BGS) <br /> using a subcontracted,tracked excavator.Approximate locations of these explorations have been plotted <br /> on the Site and Exploration Plan (Figure 2). <br /> Subsurface conditions varied based on location. As such, the following subsections have been broken <br /> down in terms of the eastern and western most exploration locations. <br /> Subsurface conditions within the western most explorations,TP-1 and TP-2, consisted of approximately 8 <br /> inches of previously placed loose to medium dense, tan to gray, moist, very gravelly, silty sand that was <br /> interpreted as Playfield Surfacing and extended to depth from the surface. Within the subject test pits, <br /> approximately 4.5 feet of dense,variegated,gray to reddish brown and mottled, damp,gravelly,very silty <br /> to silty sand, interpreted as Previously Placed Fill, was observed to underlie the Playfield Surfacing. <br /> 2 <br />
