Schaffer SFR
Upstream Analysis
• Sheet flow runoff appears to enter the site from forested areas on adjacent parcels to the
west. No erosion or concentrated flows were observed due to this runoff. Runoff from the
112th Street SE right-of-way is intercepted by existing storm drainage systems and does
not appear to enter the site.
• Downstream Analysis
A downstream analysis was provided by Timothy Sarkela, E.I.T. of Western Engineers &
Surveyors Inc., on July 27, 2017. Weather was overcast with a temperature around 65
degrees. Refer to the aerial map in the next section of this report for a depiction of runoff
• paths.
Site runoff sheet flows toward wetland areas within the southern portion of the site(see
photo 1). These wetland areas appear to discharge south toward an existing City
documented storm drainage conveyance on a property to the south. Runoff entering the
drainage system is conveyed south to 113th Street SE (see photo 2)where it crosses
beneath 113th Street SE(see photo 3) and discharges into an existing storm drainage pond
on the south side of l 13t Street SE (see photo 4). The drainage pond appear to outlet
southeasterly toward 2nd Avenue SE(see photo 5),where it crosses beneath 2nd Avenue
SE and discharges into the headwaters of Park Place Creek(see photo 6). As this is the
closest receiving water, no further downstream analysis is required.
•
Drainage Complaints
There are no known drainage complaints for this site.
•
•
•
WESTERN ENGINEERS,INC. 4 PROJECT:17-1666-A
