1 (2) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (3) of this <br /> 2 section and RCW 7. 77 . 090, a lawyer in a law firm with which the <br /> 3 collaborative lawyer is associated is disqualified from appearing <br /> 4 before a tribunal to represent a party in a proceeding related to the <br /> 5 collaborative matter if the collaborative lawyer is disqualified from <br /> 6 doing so under subsection (1) of this section. <br /> 7 (3) A collaborative lawyer or a lawyer in a law firm with which <br /> 8 the collaborative lawyer is associated may represent a party: <br /> 9 (a) To ask a tribunal to approve an agreement resulting from the <br /> 10 collaborative law process; or <br /> 11 (b) To seek or defend an emergency order to protect the health, <br /> 12 safety, welfare, or interest of a party, or family or household <br /> 13 member or intimate partner, as defined in RCW 26. 50. 010, if a <br /> 14 successor lawyer is not immediately available to represent that <br /> 15 person. <br /> 16 (4) If subsection (3) (b) of this section applies, a collaborative <br /> 17 lawyer, or lawyer in a law firm with which the collaborative lawyer <br /> 18 is associated, may represent a party or family or household member or <br /> 19 intimate partner only until the person is represented by a successor <br /> 20 lawyer or reasonable measures are taken to protect the health, <br /> 21 safety, welfare, or interest of the person. <br /> 22 Sec. 3. RCW 9. 41. 010 and 2019 c 243 s 1 are each reenacted and <br /> 23 amended to read as follows: <br /> 24 Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the definitions in <br /> 25 this section apply throughout this chapter. <br /> 26 (1) "Antique firearm" means a firearm or replica of a firearm not <br /> 27 designed or redesigned for using rim fire or conventional center fire <br /> 28 ignition with fixed ammunition and manufactured in or before 1898, <br /> 29 including any matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type <br /> 30 of ignition system and also any firearm using fixed ammunition <br /> 31 manufactured in or before 1898, for which ammunition is no longer <br /> 32 manufactured in the United States and is not readily available in the <br /> 33 ordinary channels of commercial trade. <br /> 34 (2) "Barrel length" means the distance from the bolt face of a <br /> 35 closed action down the length of the axis of the bore to the crown of <br /> 36 the muzzle, or in the case of a barrel with attachments to the end of <br /> 37 any legal device permanently attached to the end of the muzzle. <br /> 38 (3) "Bump-fire stock" means a butt stock designed to be attached <br /> 39 to a semiautomatic firearm with the effect of increasing the rate of <br /> p. 2 SHB 2473 .SL <br />
