Our response appears in bold. Structural General: 1. The construction drawings do not include structural notes. The drawings should specify design loads and other information pertinent to the structural design per IBC Section 1603.1.Geotechnical information, including but not limited to the design soil bearing pressure,should be specified per IBC Section 1603.1.6. Additional design criteria pertinent to the design of the structure(e.g., equipment loads,design forces on deferred submittal items,soil pressures on below-grade walls, etc.)should be specified per IBC Section 1603.1.8. Structural notes and details have been included with this submittal.See S1.1 2. The project does not appear to include a geotechnical investigation of the project site soils. Based on the location of the project site,the design soil load bearing values shall not exceed the presumptive values of Table 1806.2.The design values shall not exceed those for Class 4 materials without classification of the site soils or performance of a geotechnical investigation by a qualified geotechnical engineer. See IBC Sections 1603.1.6, 1603.1.8, 1803.1, 1803.5.1, 1803 .5.2, and 1806.2.
