Section B-B/A-6 shows a section through the addition exterior wall foundation that appears to <br /> show rigid insulation between the foundation and slab-on-grade. The drawings shall require the <br /> foundation insulation to be a minimum R-10. The insulation shall extend for a depth of 24 inches <br /> below the top of the slab. See WSEC-15 Table C402.1.3. <br /> See note added to Section Cuts on Sheet A-6 <br /> Miscellaneous: <br /> 27. Both floors of the building appear to have occupancy loads exceeding 30 people. Each floor shall <br /> be provided with at least one drinking fountain per IBC Section 2902.5.1. Each fountain shall be <br /> accessible per Section 1109.5. <br /> We now show an ADA drinking fountain on the plans on Sheets A-1 and A-2. We also show <br /> elevations giving the required clearances on Sheet A-8. <br /> 28. The ground floor bathrooms on Sheet A-2 shall have ventilation per IMC 403.3.1.1 and Table <br /> 403.3.1.1. The construction drawings shall be revised to the existing systems or indicate new <br /> system components satisfying these requirements. See IBC 1204.1. <br /> The new ground floor toilet rooms require ventilation fans of 50 cfm. This is noted on Sheet A- <br /> 2. <br /> 29. The building shall meet meet the ventilation and heating requirements of IBC Sections 1203.1 <br /> 1204.1. The construction drawings shall specify modifications to the existing systems or indicate <br /> new system components satisfying these sections. See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> The existing building is heated by electric baseboard panels. The new addition will also be <br /> heated by electric baseboard. The ventilation requirements are noted on the floor plan on <br /> Sheet A-2. <br /> 30. The floors and walls in the ground floor bathrooms on Sheet A-2 shall have a non-absorbent <br /> surface per IBC Sections 1210.2.1 and 1210.2.2, respectively. Modification to the main floor <br /> bathrooms on Sheet A-1 shall similarly satisfy these sections. The construction drawings shall be <br /> revised to specify the required finish materials. See IBC Section 107.2.1 <br /> The floors on the main floor do have non-absorbent surfaces per IBC Sections 1210.2.1 and <br /> 1210.2.2 although the toilets are not going to be modified. The new toilets on the ground floor <br /> will have non-absorbent surfaces as noted in Sheet A-2. <br />
