• <br /> April 22, 2020 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Mayor spoke about the serious financial impacts to the City as a result of <br /> COVID-19, and the steps that have been taken since early January. She stated that <br /> she would be bringing forward a budget amendment that outlines emergency <br /> budget reductions,which are the next step in addressing what is likely to continue <br /> to evolve in the future. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader inquired about recent police activity relating to the release <br /> of inmates from Washington State Department of Corrections. <br /> • Police Chief Templeman stated the police department has been and will continue <br /> to monitor the list of inmates released. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher asked if businesses approved for the Everett CARES <br /> program are precluded from receiving funding through federal programs. <br /> Deputy Mayor Nick Harper stated he would report back to Council. <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report on the COVID-19 impacts to the <br /> Public Facilities District. <br /> Council Member Roberts spoke about the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the <br /> climate change impacts from COVID-19, and the need to address building a <br /> greener and more resilient economy. <br /> President Tuohy reminded the public that the Council meeting schedule change is <br /> temporary with the first Council meeting of the month to be held at 6:30 p.m. and <br /> all other weekly meetings to start at 12:30 p.m. <br /> • <br /> 119 <br />
