r <br /> FINDINGS AND DECISION <br /> OF THE HEARING EXAMINER OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> • <br /> IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION <br /> OF THE CITY OF EVERETT FOR APPROVAL <br /> OF A THREE-LOT SHORT SUBDIVISION SS #16-004 <br /> AND <br /> CATHOLIC HOUSING SERVICES OF <br /> WESTERN WASHINGTON FOR . <br /> APPROVAL OF A REVIEW PROCESS III AND REVIII #16-003 <br /> LANDSCAPE MODIFICATION REVI #17-015 <br /> "SAFE STREETS SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROJECT" <br /> SUMMARY OF DECISION <br /> The request of the City for approval of a three-lot short <br /> subdivision on 21.61 acres of the Reservoir No. 3 property at <br /> 6107 Berkshire Drive, Everett, Washington, is granted subject to <br /> the conditions as set forth herein. <br /> The request of Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington <br /> for development of low barrier housing on Lot 3 of the approved <br /> short subdivision is granted. The housing facility will include a <br /> four-story apartment building with up to 70 studio and one- <br /> bedroom units that will serve homeless people, individuals with <br /> disabilities and individuals with chronic mental illness. There will <br /> also be young adults aged 18 to 24 living on-site. The approval is <br /> granted subject to the conditions as set forth herein. <br /> The requested landscape modifications are approved. <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The City of Everett (City) requested approval of a three-lot short subdivision on 21.61 <br /> acres of the Reservoir No. 3 property at 6107 Berkshire Drive, Everett, Washington. <br /> The property, commonly referred to as Reservoir No. 3, would create three lots, one of <br /> which (Lot 3) would be transferred to the Catholic Housing Services of Western <br /> Washington (CHS) for development of low-barrier housing that would include a four- <br /> story apartment building with up to 70 studio and one-bedroom units. The facility <br /> would serve homeless people, including 40 with disabilities, 15 diagnosed with chronic <br /> mental illness and ten young adults aged 18 to 24. <br />
