8. FLOW CONTROL
Section 1-2.5.7 of the DOE manual states that"Projects must provide flow control to reduce
the impacts of stormwater runoff from hard surfaces and land cover conversions, The
requirement below applies to projects that discharge stormwater directly, or indirectly
through a conveyance system, into a freshwater body." Since this project proposes to
discharge runoff directly into the Puget Sound, which is not a fresh waterbody, flow control
is not required for this project.
9. WETLAND PROTECTION
No wetlands exist on or near the property, so no wetlands will be disturbed by this project.
In addition, runoff will be discharged directly into the Puget Sound.
10. SUMMARY
This project proposes to construct more than 5,000 sf of new hard surfaces. As a result, the
use and land cover for more than 5,000 sf of the site will be converted pervious to impervious
surfaces. Stormwater management techniques have been incorporated into the design.
Therefore, the stormwater design for this project has met or exceeded all of the applicable
Minimum Requirements 1-5.
Kennedy SFR 17-1002
October 2017 Page 11
