Sabrina Fandler
From: Arnie Roshak
Sent: Monday,June 19, 2017 1:04 PM
To: Sabrina Fandler
Cc: Brian Doolan
Subject: 3317 Wetmore Ave
Follow Up Flag: Follow up
Flag Status: Flagged
Hi Sabrina,
See my comments on 3317 Wetmore Ave below:
The proposed impervious area given on their drawing looks low. Since they are adding/replacing more than 2,000 sf of
impervious then minimum requirement 1-5 will apply for this project. They won't trigger flow control (MR7)for this
project. We had discussed them doing permeable pavement with an underdrain, which (under the 2010 stormwater
manual)will help keep them under the threshold—looks like they are now showing a combination of permeable and
concrete pavement, and added landscaping between buildings. Please have them verify their new/replaced impervious
numbers. ( , ; Sr(\Q,
Disconnect the roof drains from the proposed storm drain lateral and allow the roof drainage to discharfsjallie surface,
to meet the code requirement. They can just do a splash block from building one and sheet flow through landscaped
`area toward Wedmore Ave. The curb does not look high enough for a sidewalk drain to be feasible. For building 2,
prefer they also direct toward Wetmore since that's where this site currently drains to. See if they can put the drain
under the pavers and discharge to the surface once they get past building 1. If that's not feasible due to grade
limitations, then discharge using splash blocks to the landscaped area between the buildings and then to the new CB.
Their contours do not match what we have in the GIS,Wetmore is shown about 15 ft higher elevation than what is in
Gosync (?).
They need to show inverts and slopes for the proposed side sewer and storm drain lines. They are responsible for
making sure they have enough drop to make the connection to the sewer main..
/They also need to show proposed grading on their plan so we can confirm this site will drain properly.
I requested an inspection of the sewer in the alley—I don't see it in GraniteXp yet. Brian—this was SML3095H17, I
requested a couple weeks ago. The sewer in the alley is old but doesn't have capacity issues. This pipe and the sewer
line in Wetmore discharge to a pipe on 35th that has a 5-10 year level of service.
Thanks,
Arlie Roshak, PE
City of Everett Public Works
3200 Cedar St
Everett,WA 98201
Direct:425-257-7249
Fax:425-257-8882
ARoshak@everettwa.gov
1
