March 28, 2020 3 1 2 3 SNOHOMISH COUNTY COUNCIL 4 Snohomish County, Washington 5 6 ORDINANCE NO. 20- 00 7 8 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY 9 EXECUTIVE TO SIGN AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT 10 WITH THE CITY OF EVERETT 11 12 13 WHEREAS, Snohomish County's main administrative and judicial offices are 14 located in downtown Everett, WA; and 15 16 WHEREAS, Snohomish County and the City of Everett desire to enter into an 17 partnership to increase and maintain the safety, attractiveness, and economic vitality of 18 downtown Everett; and 19 20 WHEREAS, the City of Everett will improve and maintain all public right-of-ways 21 including sidewalks and alleyways located within the downtown area, administer other 22 activities promoting the downtown area, and recognize Snohomish County as financial 23 partner in such activities and promotions; and 24 25 WHEREAS, Snohomish County will pay the City of Everett $55,349 for the period 26 beginning January 1, 2020, and ending December 31, 2020; and 27 28 WHEREAS, the County Council held a public hearing onT Nava/ if/ '_ j 29 2020, to consider approving the Interlocal Agreement and authorizing the County 30 Executive to sign the Interlocal Agreement on behalf of the County. 31 32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED: 33 34 Section 1.
