<br /> 2020 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY
<br /> WORK ORDER 3727
<br /> ' NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
<br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the 2020 Pavement Maintenance Overlay project will
<br /> be received at the office of the City Clerk, 15t Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett,
<br /> Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
<br /> At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in an assigned conference room
<br /> on the 8th floor of the Wall Street Building. The engineer's estimate for this project is $4,445,699.
<br /> The work includes, but is not limited to the construction of 15,961 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, Class 1/2
<br /> inch, PG 64-22,two inch (2")thick, on selected City Streets, including grinding, utility adjustments, such
<br /> as manhole, catch basin, inlet, valve box, monument case and cover, striping, channelization, traffic
<br /> induction loops. The project will also include 2,414 tons of aforementioned asphalt and 4,988 tons of
<br /> ' Hot Mix Asphalt, Class 3/8-inch, PG 64-22 asphalt in four-inch (4")thicknesses for road and trail creation
<br /> on Smith Island.
<br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is
<br /> ' provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on
<br /> "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with
<br /> fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets
<br /> from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that
<br /> Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place
<br /> themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically
<br /> ' notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on
<br /> this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance
<br /> with access or registration.
<br /> All bids must be made upon the regular fauns provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a
<br /> bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid.
<br /> One hundred(100)percent Payment and Performance Bonds will be required of the successful bidder to
<br /> guarantee faithful performance of the contract.
<br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities. No
<br /> bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the
<br /> L right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City
<br /> to postpone the award for a period of fifty-eight (58) days after bid opening.
<br /> ' The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations
<br /> pertaining to equal employment opportunities.
