'i
Deb Williams
From: DORIAN Leigh <dorianleighk@msn.com>
Sent: Wednesday,April 22, 2020 11:12 AM
To: DL-Council; Cassie Franklin
Subject: Public Comment
Hello,
Please address this issue in the meeting today.
There is a homeless man living on the sidewalk near 8130 Evergreen Way. He has bags of human feces coupled with
food in his stolen shopping cart. He sleeps inside of a tarp and I've sent pictures to all of you. This is in violation of EMC
8.56.010.
The store owners in that area are tired of their carts being stolen and claim the Everett PD don't help them with this
issue.
I've spent the past couple of weeks trying to motivate the Everett PD to enforce the law regarding this situation and to
no avail. I've been completely ignored both verbally and via email.
To date, no one from the Everett PD, nor the mayor who forwarded my concern to the Everett PD, is responding to
taxpayers concerns about this unsafe, unlawful situation.
Mayor Franklin also ignored my email other than to forward it to the Everett PD. I'm shocked that she does not realize
she is in charge of Dan Templeman and has the authority to tell him his staff needs to enforce the law.
Two days ago, I notified Capt. Rod Sniffen that the man is still unlawfully living on the sidewalk and he has refused to
even respond to my email.
This is an urgent situation and we are still in the middle of a pandemic, which escalates the need for Everett laws to be
enforced.
Sent from Mail for Windows 10
1
